You reply to the port-out confirmation SMS from your current mobile service provider within the specified deadline.
You have no overdue payments with your current mobile service provider.
You are not under any active contract with your current mobile service provider.
You are the registered owner of the mobile number.
Your personal details submitted to U Mobile match those with your current mobile service provider.
Your mobile line remains active.
Non-Malaysian citizen is required to pay a refundable deposit of RM 500 per customer. U Mobile may from time to time change the deposit amount at our absolute discretion.
Yes, you can switch between prepaid and postpaid plans. However, any remaining prepaid credit with your current provider will not be carried over to U Mobile, regardless of the plan type selected.
Ensure that your current prepaid line stays active until the port-in process is complete.
An Upfront advance fee is an advance payment that is equivalent to the monthly commitment you would make when you first sign up for any Postpaid or broadband plan. For example, the upfront payment for the Postpaid 38 plan will be RM38. This payment will be collected once you sign up for your chosen plan, and we will use it to offset your first monthly bill. It is not refundable.
You are required to make an Upfront advance fee when you register for a plan. Part or all of your first monthly bill will be deducted from this upfront payment. It will be shown in your first bill as an advance payment.
It is a 90-day period where Postpaid customers are subjected to post plan change. During this period, customers are required to stay on the same plan and can only downgrade or migrate to Prepaid after the 90-day period . Alternatively, customers may also upgrade to higher value plan to enjoy enhanced benefits or to sign up for a new device with U Mobile.
